The Dixieland Five is a Traditional Jazz / Dixieland Band that features a front line of trumpet, clarinet and trombone and a rhythm section of piano and tenor banjo. They play jazz styles of the early 20th century that came from New Orleans and then spread across the country and around the world.
Darrell Kinsey, who played pianos and did vocals, and Pete Hayek, who played tenor banjo, both passed away. The remaining three of the band continue and will have several guest performers with them for this July 10 concert. We welcome them back again!
