LEXINGTON JAM



Local favorites and Oglethorpe County natives, sister and brother, Linda Helmly, John Helmly, along with good friends and music mates Ken Parris, Aaron Philips and Matt Linden make up Lexington Jam. Lexington Jam is known for performing not only their originals, but also putting a unique twist on popular as well as obscure covers in a variety of genre's covering gospel, southern rock, folk, blues, and jazz. Over the past eight years the group has lead the Oglethorpe Fresh Concert Series as host and house band as well as performing for several fundraisers for the Lexington community and Oglethorpe County Library. They have performed at several Athens area music venues including The Foundry, The Office, Bores Head, Recovery Fest, OIgethorpe County Community Days in Crawford, GA, The American Legion and in Washington, GA at the Court Street Livery.

In keeping with warm southern tradition and the band's hospitable style a potluck and music event is planned for No. 3 Railroad Street, Saturday, April 28, at 7:00 pm.

A $10. contribution is appreciated. Music starts at 7:30 pm.
