OPEN MIC
SUNDAY, OCTOBER 4, 18, AND NOVEMBER 1, 2020

And now, it can be your turn! Whether you are looking for a place to practice before hitting the world stage, or wanting to just try playing in front of other people, or wanting to show this audience what you could do if we'd just invite you out for a concert, we are the friendly group you seek.

Mary has commitments from many of our regular open-mic regulars and some newbies. So you should be pleased to just listen.

Mary's Expectations:

To have some fun in a safe social environment.

We'll socially distance on the grass with a few chairs and tables provided. Everyone will wear masks while wandering around. And where masks while seated, who knows who will ambush you? This works if both distance and masks are done.

The sound system will be set up on the deck. And we are hoping you'll feel invited to bring a song or a story or a poem to share. If all you have to share is your good wishes... We welcome those most of all!

Plan to bring your own food and beverage. The kitchen will be closed. Please bring chairs and tables if you have extras.

Parking is now allowed anywhere on Railroad Street, it now legally being recognized as a public street, but please park on the pavement and do not block Patman Lane (between No. 3 and Crossroads). Additional parking is available across the street in the church parking lot.

Strict use of physical distancing and face masks. If you cannot do both of these, or don't trust them, please stay away or just drive by to show your support.

It All Worked Out!

About 30 people showed up during the first beautiful Sunday afternoon, October 4! Mary's expectations were well met and there was a good variety of performances. Mary was exhausted at its end, if not earlier. She did a lot of work in putting on this particular event, as has been true for most earlier events at No. 3 Railroad Street. Several folks took photos over the three events. Please submit them to Glenn if you want them on our photo gallery and with samples of them presented below.

The first images to arrive for October 4 were by Sharon Cofer, some of which are below. Visit the Photo Gallery for her images.
