Andrew Finn Magill is a Fulbright fellow (some of that work is reported Here), a North Carolina Arts Council Fellow, and an award-winning composer. He describes himself as a traditional fiddle player and also a violinist, educator and composer. He has been featured on MTV, TEDx, Avianca in-flight entertainment and many, many times on NPR's The Thistle & Shamrock. His 2016 album Roots (featuring Cillian Vallely of Lúnasa and John Doyle) debuted at number #46 on the folk DJ charts. Since then, he has toured internationally and headlined several Irish festivals.
Scottish guitar & bouzouki-player Alan Murray is one of the most in-demand accompanists and teacher in Irish music. He currently plays and tours around the world with many of the finest traditional musicians and acts today, performing at Denmark's Tønder Festival, Celtic Connections and the Milwaukee Irish Festival, among many others. Alan has shared the stage with such artists as Karan Casey, Niall and Cillian Vallely, Eileen Ivers and Scotland's Battlefield Band.
Alan has taught classes at such prestigious music programs as Warren Wilson college's Swanannoa Gathering, Catskills Irish Arts Week, Fairbanks Summer Arts Festival, The O'Flaherty Retreat, as well as masterclasses in Irish and Celtic music at the University of Louisiana and Connecticut's Scared Heart University.
Alan and Andrew have performed together at many prestigious Irish festivals and performing arts series including Celtic Bayou, Arts Under the Dome, and the Arizona Highland Celtic Festival. In 2020, the two musicians released their debut album Murray & Magill exclusively on Bandcamp.
