SONGWRITERS TIMOTHY O'CONNELL AND JUSTIN BRIDGES

Sunday Songwriters' Revival
Every Third Sunday of the month, Host "Mojo" Mark Wilmot hosts local songwriters who showcase original songs and the stories that inspired them. Mark is an Athens native who grew up singing the songs his Granny taught him on their rides through the hills of Northeast Georgia. He sings his own songs in the Athens area with the Redstone Ramblers, including many times at No. 3 Railroad Street. Please see the Events Page for details and the Photo Pages for images of their events. Mark is eager to help promote local songwriters through this monthly event.

This month, Timothy O'Connell and Justin Bridges are featured.
Timothy has had a lifelong career in all aspects of the music and entertainment business: performance, composition, arrangement, recording artist/engineer, production and promotion. For over four decades, he has performed on stages throughout the United States, Asia and South America and has recorded five albums of original music. In 2004, O'Connell was nominated for two Wisconsin WAMI awards: the first for Album of the Year, for his critically-acclaimed release, "Cold in Wisconsin", and the second for Songwriter of the Year. And in 2005, he received two WAMI nominations: Acoustic Performer of the Year, and Male Vocalist of the Year. He often plays with Liam Parke, including at No. 3 Railroad Street.

Justin describes himself as a vagabond, a wanderer and traveler by trade. The road is his refuge and a necessary sacrifice. He is a singer-songwriter, flatpicker, and a fiend for the blues. Justin's Facebook Profile.
