FACILITIES

Meeting Room

The Meeting Room can seat about 70 at tables. Additional dining space can be made in the Library, Studio and on the Porches. The Room has a piano and electronic organ and has easy access to the Open Kitchen, Library and restrooms.
Open Kitchen

The Kitchen is spacious with a movable central buffet table, several sinks, refrigerator, freezer, storage space and cooking equipment for preparing and serving meals. It has its own entrance from outside for ease in setup without interrupting those in the Meeting Room.

Library

In collaboration with the Oglethorpe County Library and local citizens, No. 3 Railroad Street has a very informal Lending Library from which one can borrow books and to which one can donate books. We are in need of good quality book cases as books continue to be donated. The Library opens into the Meeting Room and the Studio.
Studio

The Studio can accomodate about 10 yoga students and probably as many dancers. It has its own entrance from the Covered Porch.

Screened Porch

The Screened Porch has a front entrance to the exterior, with steps, and its own entrance to the building through the Library. Although relatively small, it can support a variety of outdoor-indoor functions.

Covered Porch

The Covered Porch runs along the entire south side of the building and continues into the Open Porch on the east side of the building. Those on the Covered Porch get direct sunlight only very late in the day.

Open Porch

The Open Porch can hold several dining tables and has its own entrance into the Meeting Room. It gets direct sun until late afternoon.

Parking

Due to a lengthy legal dispute with a neighbor, on-site parking is presently limited to the venue's side of Railroad Street and there only between Yancy Road on the left and the speed bump on the right. Do not park on any grass on the right side of the building or on the pavement or the grass on the other side of Railroad Street.

There is abundant parking across the intersection at the Springs of Life Church and Teaching Center. It can be used at anytime and we thank them for their offer to let us use the space.

Accessibility: The facilities are wheelchair accessible via a ramp on the right side of the building up to the Open and Covered Porches, each of which has entrance into the Meeting Room. One of the two gender-neutral restrooms is also wheelchair accessible.

If there is no parking available in front of the venue, we will be happy to arrange a drop off and move your vehicle across the intersection to the church and return it when you wish to leave.
