The band has been part of the local musical scene since 2012. They have performed in various venues in and around Athens (places like Hendershots, The Office Lounge, and The Foundry to name a few). They do a combination of original tunes and classics of the blues. The band's lineup is:
John Norris – Drums and Harmonica
Jeff Evans – Bass
Marcelo Buril – Guitar and Vocals
We welcomed "The Original Screw Tops" for their first visit to No. 3 Railroad Street on February 9, 2019. The band was excellent! Glenn said it was his kind of music and very well played. A good-size house and a very appreciative audience, with slapping the tables, shouting, dancing and more (some photos of that event are below). They returned on August 24, 2019 to a very large crowd.
These band members are also part of "Janet and the Blue Dogs" along with Janet and Dennis Smillie. That group has played No. 3 Railroad Street two times, on October 26, 2019 and January 26, 2020. That last concert would have been a sellout if we collected tickets!
