Monthly (sort of) Book Sale plus Special Events 2024 First Saturday of most Months, 10 am until 2 pm The Friends of Oglethorpe County Library have a monthly (more or less) satelite Book Sale at No. 3 Railroad Street. Several patrons are treating it as a rental, including myself. There is also a Take One/Leave One free-standing book exchange on the Yancy Road side of the venue. Please use it! Thanks to Trina Gaither for doing the heavy lifting, organizing the stuff and being there. Feel free to stop in at any Public Event at No. 3 Railroad Street (and there are lots of them!) to check out the offerings, take them and stuff the collection jar with your donations. Good deals on good stuff. Come support the local art community, buy some books and perhaps grab some refreshments as well. 10 am to 2 pm Seed Swap on Saturday, March 2, 2024 Join Friends of the Library members on March 2,2024 at No. 3 Railroad St. for our 3rd annual Seed Swap. As in the past, we will have free seeds and plants to pass along to the public. If you have seeds or plants to share, please bring them. We will have tables and space for you to spread your seeds and plants on. If you don't have anything to share, come anyway! It's not necessary to have anything to swap. We have plenty to share! We will not only have seeds and plants to share but lots of knowledge and plant lore as well. There will also be information on the Oglethorpe County Library's new "seed library", as well as information from other local gardening-related organizations. And a Coffee Shop on site, with coffee, tea and snacks (most are plants or are plant based!). Free plants and seeds and the best book sale prices around, how can you let this opportunity pass you by?
